Brunei air/asia air Kuala lumpur

Hi, just need to know whether these 2 airlines operate out of the same airline? We are travelling from Langkawi to KL via air asia and arrive at 1245 and then our flight via Brunei air leaves at 2:40 pm

if they are operating at different airports will this be enough time to transit and board our brunei air flight?

thanks for your help

Hi

Royal Brunei is a totally different airline to Air Asia. Royal Brunei is the national carrier for Brunei and Air Asia is the budget carrier for the area. The 2 airlines fly in and out of the same airport at KUL, BUT they use different termainals at KUL that are not connected other than by 20km of road around the perimeter of the airport.

You do NOT really have time to have a easy or stress free transit between the 2 terminals, as you only have 2 hours.

You will need to collect your disembark and collect bags etc, then get from the LCCT terminal to the KLIA terminal 20km away by bus or taxi. Realisticly from the plane landing to clearing will take 30-60mins on a good day, then 20-30mins to get to KLIA, then you will need to be at the Royal Brunei check in 2-3hours before your flight. The check in will close about 40-60mins before the flight.

If it all goes well you might make your flight home, and I say might, just make it. But if your Langakwi flight is late, your bags delayed, your taxi slow etc, you will not.

Can you change your Langakwi flight to an earlier one and guarantee your flight home?

Hi thanks for the info I have changed the flights and we now arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 10:45 so that should give us plenty of time to make the flight we hope?!

Will it?

It only cost us 80 australian dollars so not too bad!

once again thanks!
