holiday with kids

Hi Guys,

We are a family of 4 (kids aged 5 %26amp; 6).

We have been to Fiji, Thailand.

What we are looking for is small island accom, kids club %26amp; snorkling.

Does this exist in Malaysia? If not what other accom could you suggest that%26#39;s not too commercial with lots of people and lots of rooms.

Any advice would be great.

Many thanks

Dear Daydreamer,

Langkawi is a great island for young kids. Very safe and the locals are most kids friendly. If you can afford the Pelangi, I would highly recommend it. They can keep your kids busy all day long if you want so that you can relax yourself.

Although it is a relatively big resort you don%26#39;t feel it that much as it stretches on a very large property. Next option could be The Andaman, but also expensive.

Cheaper option and a smaller resort for you might be Frangipani.

In any case, you will find what you are looking for on this island!

About the snorkeling I must say that the water of Langkawi is murky. There are a few spots in the area where the visibility is relatively good but you need a boat to get there.

Thanks Eva, I%26#39;ll research your suggestions.

Is there anywhere you could stay and just snorkle off the beach?

Cheers

Sharon

Hi

As Eva has said, there is really no snorkelling from any of the beaches around Langkawi. You could give it a try but there is not very much to see.

Lesley

thanks Lesley

For snorkelling off the beach, you may have to head to some of the islands off the east coast of malaysia... i.e. Redang, Tioman or Perhentian.
