Honeymoon: Penang or Langkawi

Hi,

Looking to go on honeymoon to Malaysia in Sept %26#39;09 for approx 2 weeks.

Initially was looking at going to KL, Penang and then stop in Hong Kong before heading back to the UK. I am now in 2 minds wether to goto Lankawi instead.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a Honeymoon..i.e which places to visit and ideal resorts for honeymoons etc.

Thanks

Hi

Still not sure of your flight routing, as you will be rushing around between 3 or 4 places and not get chance to relax and enjoy the area or your honeymoon.

For a 2 week break I would really only go for 2 or 3 stops rather than the 3 ro 4 your are contemplating. Each more to the next place will lose you half to a full day so suddenly your 2 weeks is 10 days.

Penang is a wonderful place with a huge amount of history and things to so, beach is nice but the sea is not the best i the area. Langakwi is a great honeymoon location, great boat trips or eco trips out.

Why not just do KL, Penang and Langkawi, or HK, Penang and Langkawi

have a great one.

You have just opened a %26#39;can of worms%26#39; - by the time you finish reading all the replies you will be so very confused (dot com) by all the different opinions.

Good luck.

LOL :-)

That said, it really comes down to what YOU want from u%26#39;r holiday.

I still think that to get the best from Malaysia, you need to see a couple or 3 places.

I am sure that Lesley %26amp; Baskie would agree that spliting time between Penang %26amp; Langkawi gives you the best Malaysian experience you can have in 2 weeks.

yes, it does depend what you want in a holiday, langkawi has beautiful beaches and better resorts (my fav. is the tanjung rhu, get the all inclusive package.) but penang had a lot more to see and do and the best food in the world.

it is chalk and cheese really, you cannot compare the two, it%26#39;s personal preference.
