Dear Friends ,

I%26#39;m planning for my honeymoon and i%26#39;d choosed to visit Kuala lumpur after spending a week in Phuket/Thailand , i will be staying in Kuala for 5Days/4Nights , i wonder how to make the best out of them ,

I%26#39;d alot of thoughts of going to Langkawi , i dunnot if that would be right or wrong as its only 5Days in Malaysia .

I wonder if i should be staying the 5 Days in Kuala or should i spend them in Langkawi ? Or Do u think that i had enough of beaches and i will need a change ?

Also i wonder if i took the choice of staying in Langkawi , How can i make the best of the 5 Days ?

I would really appreciated if you can provide me with a suggested plan for spending those 5 Days :) ?

Kuala Lumpur is a large modern busy city, langkawi is a very quiet island. Langkawi is a very beautiful island but also quiet, for many that is the appeal. There are some good upmarket resorts for a honeymoon, I also though like an old favorite which is the Meritus Penagi resort.

The Langkawi experts will tell you more but it really is whether you want more island or city time.

I will though give some tips on travel between the places.

There are flights with Air asia and Malaysia Airlines between Phuket and KL. Firefly have flights Phuket-Penang from where you can ferry or fly to Langkawi, however, I read that they planned to stop those flights March 29th. Local experts can confiorm that. Otherwise you will have to fly from Phuket to KL and then fly up to Langkawi.

Otherwise from Phuket you can make your way through Krabi towards Koh Lanta area, nearby from Satun there are ferries to Langkawi, takes about 1 hr 30 mins, so that gets you from Southern Thailand to Langkawi.

I think decide for the Malaysia part if you want city, island or activities, no doubt the locals can also suggest other options but a lot depends how you want to spend your time after Phuket.

if your interested to see unspoilt nature then Langkawi is worth a visit. We offer a number of beautiful and interesting tours to the mangroves, to the jungle and much more.

For shopping, culture and maybe dining and wining KL is the better place. For nightlife and entertainment Phuket is the right place.

Going to all three destinations, I would choose Langkawi as last.
