if you wear glasses you must give this guy a go,we checked into our hotel The Bayview and having misplaced our glasses we noticed a stand by hotel desk for Vision First optics,we contacted them and within an hour we were having our eyes tested he took us to his shop in Georgetown were we were fitted with multi focal lenses for driving, computer,reading and close up all in one.I know how much glases of this type cost in australia so we were rapped to pay less than half aussie prices.I notice now in forum that many other members have used this man before us.His name is Patrick Ung you can ring him on 016-449-3838 or shop 604-2628132 there e/mail is= opticalserv@gmail.com,he%26#39;s at the hotel mon/wed/fri.We were so pleased with our glasses we promised to give him a fair plug,so i hope you test him out,it%26#39;ll be worth your while.

hiya i just had aan email off patrick and he dosent go out to our hotel the bayview georgetown but he said he will come to pick us up and take us to his shop no problems i think if you email him and make an arrangement with him he will come to your hotel just out of intrest which hotel are you staying at? maggieomx

Can some one give me an example of how mush is the glasses in Australia or UK?

Local Malaysians here find that glasses are expensive. So, I wonder if it is cheap for the tourist because of the currency exchange is favourable on your side?

no it is not the exchange rate which is not favourable at the moment,but more like greedy opticians.Glasses of good quality with american or german multi focal lenses can cost up to $1000 hear in Australia, whilst similar ones can be purchased in penang for under $300,Patrick also has a much larger selection of frames.
