travelling with young children

We have been to Penang 3 times before. We have done all the usual touristy things - Penang Hill, butterfly farm, snake temple...now we are travelling with 2 young children (10 months and 2 1/2 yrs). We are staying at the parkroyal for 10 days in late april. What activities in Penang can you suggest that we can do to entertain them? Any recommendations?

Hi

you need the help of AliBristol. Penang expect and travels with little ones.

travelling with young children

Your 2 half year old will love the butterfly farm.

At golden sands there is a soft play center which again your older one will love and although your not staying in resort you can pay to go inside - great if it is raining depending on how mobile your 10 month old is they will also love that.

Suggest you dont go out and about during the heat of the day especially in Georgetown as hard to be mobile.

I travelled with my 6 month old last time and he loved the water etc and will be travelling with him in October and looking forward to doing the above.

Any other questions about baby things im happy to answer, Malaysians love babys and when your eating etc you will have lots of lovely comments etc.

Did you visit Toy Museum before? Children (even adult) should loves the collection there.

thanks for the tip ali, looked up the adventure zone on the net, and it looks like a go%26#39;er for an afternoon.

any other options for child friendly activities?

Hi judejude,

We are travelling to Penang early May, and will also be staying at the Parkroyal for 11 days then the E%26amp;O in Georgetown for 2 nights (Mothers Day treat!!). We will be travelling with a 22 month old. I would love to hear how you go, and I am about to research what to do with little ones when over there so if I come up with anything I will post it. Enjoy.

hi eggumwest,

when do you arrive at the parkroyal, because we checkout on the 3rd may, if your dates overlap ours, we can give you a first hand account of what we found worthwhile to do with young children.

How fantastic. Thank you for that offer. We arrive on the 1st May. Should be there in the morning as we are doing the red eye frlight from Perth. Perhaps we can meet you somewhere for a drink and a chat before you leave.

I%26#39;d be interested in the feedback too-although our kdis are older 6 and 8, they are still kids!

PS What flight are you taking from Perth? I am looking at AirAsia.
