KL Accomodation for 4 Nights

Hey Everyone,

just wanting some information, on where you would reccomend to stay in Kuala Lumpur, we have been before, but was only for 2 nights, we are going to be there for 5 nights this time and the travel agent has given us a couple of reccomendations, now to just narrow them down

Renaissance - Superior East Wing including breakfast

Crowne Plaza - Grand deluxe room

Novotel Hydro Majestic - Executive

Parkroyal - Deluxe

Shangri-la - Deluxe

Any info or reccomendations would be great, last time we stayed at the federal and we were not impressed one little bit!

Thanks

KL Accomodation for 4 Nights

Hi

All are better standard than the Federal.

Renaissance - is a little bit out of town, although well connected via the monrail, train or walk. Pool is large but cool as gets no sun.

Crowne Plaza - great location, beside monorail station, short walk to shops etc. Nice, but not large pool area.

Novotel Hydro Majestic - the lowest quality of your 5 shortlist, but right behind the Pavillion Mall, short walk to KLCC, Bukit Bintang etc. Smaller pool area.

Parkroyal - Great location beside Sungai Wang Plaza, a short hop to all the malls and the monorail

Shangri-la - The best of the 5, but you will pay for it. Although near to Bukit Bintang than Renaissance it is a longer walk to the monorail. Nice pool area. This can be the most expensive hotel in KL at times.

Guess it will depend on your budget, how much time you plan to spend at the hotel / room etc.

If it were my short list I would narrow it to Crowne Plaza and the Shangri-la, possibly the Park Royal.

You have missed out Traders or the Ritz-Carlton, which often have great deals.

Why not book without a travel agent, and get a great range of all the hotels, and will probaly save some money to boot!

Have fun.

Thank you so much for that info, I wanted to stay at traders, but our travel agent, said they were no rooms available.....

I was not going to book with a travel agent, but with our bali accomodation it worked out cheaper to book with them, i will look into KL

Thanks for your help
