Luggage in K.L.

Hi,

My son is travelling with Air Asia from Perth and has about 6 hours in transit before a connecting flight, could anyone tell me if there is somewhere to leave your luggage in the airport so he could catch a taxi into the main shopping area?

Otherwise is there anything around the airport that he could see or do in that time?

There is a left luggage service at LCCT.

LCCT to KL sentral is about 1.5 hour away by coach.

It appeared that you will have about 2 hours+ to rush through the shopping area.

I hate to say this but the LCCT has nothing in it except alot of people. It is a no frills terminal with the bear minimum. First question is he flying another low cost airline to his next destination or does he have to go through the KLIA terminal. Also this airport is 1 hour by taxi and about 1:20 by bus to KL. If he wanted to go there by train he would have to get to the KLIA terminal by taxi and catch the train which takes 28 minutes to KL Sentral.

Sorry but for 6 hours I think I would try to find a quite spot and read a book. Travelling Mitch may be able to offer something better.

If he%26#39;s never been to Malaysia or asia for that matter, he might be interested in the Islamic architecture of Putrajaya, the country%26#39;s administrative capital. Putrajaya is accessible by cab (20 mins and maybe RM40? ... ask at the taxi coupon counter). Other than that, there%26#39;s really nothing else to see around LCCT/KLIA.

If his connecting flight (any of the international full service airlines) is at KLIA, he%26#39;ll need to make his way there ... again by a 10 min cab ride.

Like the previous poster said, LCCT is just that; low cost, crowded and basic. Watch belongings!!

His flight has been changed now so thats all changed, I can%26#39;t believe Air Asia with changing there flights so much!!! Now he arrives at 10.20pm and fly%26#39;s out at midnight so I guess he will only have time to collect his luggage and check on to the next flight which in a way is great for him!

But now I have the wait as I am coming home on a different date so all this info will apply to me now!! Murphy%26#39;s Law I guess!!!
