Somewhere for a special occasion?

It is my husband%26#39;s 40th birthday while we are in KL this summer. Could anyone please recommend somewhere memorable to eat? Money is not really an issue for this momentous occasion but we do not want anywhere too stuffy!!!! Many thanks.

Book a driver for the afternoon. Typically it costs about RM40 per hour but be prepared to pay above this due to ';tourist surcharge';.

The taxi takes you to Kuala Selangor town about 100km from KL. The town is idylic by the riverside. You go there in the evening say 5pm. Spend some time at the lighthouse and see the other sites.

The head to the riverside and have dinner at the many seafood resturants there. Its not 5-star (not even 3 star), but its rustic and full of countryside charm.

When its dark, have the driver bring you to see the kuala selangor fireflies by the riverside. The river is dotted with fireflies that blink on and off in unison.

However, if it rains then the plan is off, so you need to have a backup plan if you take this idea.
