Depends on your budget, needs and preferences.

GS tends to be quite family orientated. Park Royal not so much.

The Rasa is THE top hotel - but expect to pay for that.

If you stay in the Garden Wing of the Rassa it isnt a great deal more than Golden Sands and it is so worth the extra ,enjoy were ever you go, as i said id go back in a heartbeat if i could,aka Denise

Or really push the boat out and go to the Rasa Wing.

Oy yes the Rassa wing is GOOD , but the garden wing is%26#39;nt bad if ifs in your budjet, we stayed in both you can all ways upgrade for a few days when you get there.WE looked at Golden Sands

and we were realy pleased we went that little bit extra and went with the Rassa, wish they would pay me commision !!!!! But one of the best hotels ive stayed in , all the best aka denise .

thank you all you rich people out there! unfortunately i cant afford the Rasa much as i would love to go there, maybe when i win the lottery! but thanks for your replies anyway!

Hi, feel the need to defend the Parkroyal. I had a great stay there and there were plenty of families there enjoying it too!

It%26#39;s a little less formal than the Golden Sands and is a great option for a great holiday!

Not so much rich, Orchidluv, just hard working class folk who work blinking jolly hard all year, scrimp and save, don%26#39;t smoke / drink / go out / spend much the rest of the year, so that this is our one big treat!

But boy is it worth is.

If it was not the Rasa I would probaly stay at Traders in Georgetown or Park Royal in Batu Ferringhi.

Here, here TravellingMitch, can relate to that, staying at the Rasa ourselves and as you put it worked blinking hard all year and scrimpted and saved LOL!!
