Budget per day in KL...is ths enough?

For a solo female backpacker staying in Kuala Lumpur for a few days, is USD 40 (or let%26#39;s say around MYR 130-140) PER DAY good enough?

This is excluding accommodation as there%26#39;s a separate budget for that. It%26#39;s basically just for day-to-day spending such as food, transportation, sight-seeing, etc. I%26#39;m not really looking to do any major shopping either.

What do you plan to do in KL?

It should be enough for budget meals and transport around KL.

If is probably a bit tight if you plan to go to more exotic destinations like the Kuala Selangor fireflies.

It is enough - provided that eating does not include fancy or expensive restaurants. Also, alcohol can be very expensive.

Sightseeing - if you avoid organised tours you will be OK.

Taxi rides can also chew up your budget.

Avoid taxis and you will be fine..

You can get a meal at the mall food courts from 5 Myr upwards and the tube is very inexpensive for travel.Alchohol is expensive though.
