october weather

hi all! just wondering what the weather is like in october in KK. I have read a lot of conflicting statements. Would love to hear from someone who has been in october. (I know all years are different!!) Thanks a lot!

october weather

Across the whole of Malaysia the weather patterns have changed.

That said, the weather is fairly consistent with little change between the wet (monsoon, as some might call it) and not wet (or dry) season...

Hot at about 30c to 35c

Humid at about 95% ++ humidity

Rain - it might rain - it might not rain. If it does rain, it is likely to be a heavy shower or thunder storm in the late afternoon or evening. Usually only last a couple of hours.

Sometimes, it might rain all day - but not very often.

Clothing - light weight and comfortable. Bring an umbrella %26amp; wear sandals.

East Coast %26amp; Borneo monsoon is Late November to mid February. This is no longer a reliable weather pattern and the above info applies.

Bottom line - even if it rains you will have FUN.

September - March is supposedly the wet season, but I think %26#39;wetter season%26#39; is more accurate as the dry season is also wet.

So expect rain, but not all the time. Expect cloud, except for early in the morning, but that doesn%26#39;t you won%26#39;t burn under the sun, because you will.

August and October are considered by by the guides at Kinabalu Park to be the months which Mt. Kinabalu gets the most rain - it has little to do with the seasons as such as Mt. K has her own weather.

It doesn%26#39;t rain the whole day, except every once in a while. Typical showers in the wetter season lasts for 1 - 2 hours and could happen twice a day.

If you search this forum for weather, you%26#39;ll see lots of replies which basically boils down to same thing: it can always rain, but not all the time.
