i arrive 2245 at changi on a monday evening and fly out of JB at 0845 next morning. i am female and travelling with a 7yr old child.

i was looking for advise on whether to spend the night in JB or singapore and the best reliable method of transport that will safely get me to my accomodation and my morning flight. i usually stay 4-5 star hotels and i am planning to be travelling with handluggage only

I%26#39;m sorry to tell you that you arriving and leaving time for Singapore is not so nice that you can only go to Johor Bahru airport by Taxi.

I would suggest you stay 1 night in S%26#39;pore, properly stay at Bugis area where is the location of the Bus/Taxi Terminal to JB. Then next day morning around 6am, take taxi from Queen Street terminal to JB airport. The cost for the taxi fee is about S$50.

S Yin may be best to clarify again if taking the 0600hrs bus provides sufficient time across the causeway on a weekday, particularly if the grace period of 2hours for check-in before departure time is accounted for; if so, one must be at Senai by 0645%26#39; is 45 minutes across the causeway, plus CIQ and onto Senai sufficient from JB.

Even with efficient CIQ at Changi airport, one is really cleared around 2315hrs, provided everything synchronises-ie. flight timely arrival, good thing you are only with handluggage (i.e. has British Airport authority done away with only allowing a transparent plastic bag on board?)

Y Sin, you could become a travel agent =) We%26#39;re doing almost the same thing as the travellers above, but time isn%26#39;t really our main concern as we arrive at Changi Airport at 3.50am and our flight from JB is at 3.25pm.

I was wondering if you could advise the easiest and quickest way of getting to JB airport that is at a reasonable cost. We would prefer to travel in relative comfort ie. coach bus.

option 1)Changi airport to Queen Street. At queen street take a share cab for S$10/passenger to( Kota raya)Johore Bahru, or request Taxi to take you directly to Senai airport.

Or at Kota Raya take a cab to JB (Senai)airport or take the airport Shuttle for Ringgit %26lt;10

Option 2) By MRT+bus:from Changi airport take MRT to Kranji.

At kranji take either Red or yellow bus to kota raya,U need to transfer from Singapore Immigration then join then continue to Johore Bahru immigration,tag along your luggage.VERY MESSY

Continue journey to Kota Raya to take airport shuttle or cab to Senai (JB airport)

Allow 2-2.5 hour(depending on traffic flow) for crossing both immigration and transfer

Strongly suggest you take (option 1) for easier transfer cos do it inside the comfort of the taxi .

I have a few more questions, I hope you don%26#39;t mind. How do we get from Changi to Queen st? is that also by taxi? if so, do you know the approximate cost?

Would you also know the approximate cost by taxi from Kota Raya to Senai?

I really don%26#39;t know the meter charge from Changi to Queen street.

Singapore taxi are well disciplined ,not 2 worry about the charges,

Taxi from Kota Raya to Senai about Rm40/taxi.(not sure now)

Shuttle bus to airport also very regular,and follow the time schdule .There is a small air-con cafe and toilet facilities at the terminal.

Hello, I have another similar question!

My wife and I are travelling from Denpasar to Singapore Changi to get a flight on to the UK. We are looking at a flight from Denpasar-Johor Bahru which arrives there at 7.30pm, while our flight out of Singapore Changi is at 10.55pm.

Would it be possible to leave from Johor Bahru around 8pm to be at Changi in time for check in at about 9pm?

Do you think this enough time to check in and enough time for grace / traffic / customs etc?

All this is happening on a thursday evening.
