Bugs and Insects in KL & Langkawi

We are visiting KL %26amp; Langkawi in July, we were wondering what insects might affect us and what insect repellant we need, do we need it just at night or during the day as well and do we need a bug plug in the room?

Mozzies are not a real problem in Kuala Lumpur. They are more obvious in Langakwi and a bug plug is useful, but not essential.

A good repellant with DEET will be a good idea. Boots do a good one.

Bug plug or Plug-in Mosquito Killer is a small electrical Mosquito Coil that is the size of an electical plug and is pluged into an electrical socket with small mozzie killing tablets that slot into it, which when the power is switched on warm up and slowly release bug killing fumes. Simple but effective.
