We will have most of a day to wander around Kota Bharu waiting for our evening flight after returning from the Perhentian Islands. Is there anywhere we can store our luggage in Kota Bharu eg. airport or bus station? We will be there on a Friday and understand that not everything will be open but we would like to be able to leave our luggage somewhere while we explore. Also how far from the centre of town is the airport?

You can store the luggage at Bus Station in Kota Bharu City.The journey will take 30 minutes to airport by hop off hop on buses.The fares is RM1.50 only.
From Kuala Besut jetty to Kota Bharu..RM8.00 per way.
