one night \ something different

Hello, We will be in KK for 4 nights. Have secured 3 nights at the Le Meridien (Promotion deal) and looking at one nights accommodtion, before we stay there. Has anyone got aany suggestions. Thought of an Island retreat, but it is looking too expensive and too rushed for one night. So is travelling to MT Kinabalu for the night. Is there a Boutique hotel or B %26amp; B that could be recommended.? Does not have to be 5 star, but a special place. Any follow up would be appreciated. Thanks RSA

Ok, here%26#39;s something random - try the Borneo Beachouse (sic) - yes, it%26#39;s a backpackers guest house, but you can get a private room for yourself. Why there?

Well, main selling point is that it%26#39;s just 5 minutes from the Tanjung Aru beach and the First Beach complex where you can have hawkers food and a drink and watch one of Sabah%26#39;s incredible sunsets.

But it%26#39;s also a super friendly place, not just the staff but the people who generally stay there, so you%26#39;re sure to meet some great people.

Then you can also hook up with some Ultimate frisbee players on the beach (Tuesdays and Fridays) and have yourself a nice game and meet even more people who are bound to recommend great places to eat and go. Age or gender doesn%26#39;t matter here, they welcome everybody.

This will be a %26#39;grass roots%26#39; introduction to the people of Sabah and will make you appreciate your nice digs at Le Meridiene too :)

HI

but why not go for something special, like Gayana Island Resort on Gaya Island and really enjoy yourself in a special location.

A much nicer way to finsh your stay.
