Planning trip to Borneo for summer 2009

Hello.

My husband and I are trying to plan a trip to Borneo for this summer (2009). We are looking for a tour operator in Borneo to work with. Would anyone have any suggestions/recommendations based on their experience with a tour operator? I have contacted Discovery Tours as well as Exotic Borneo. Has anyone ever worked with these companies and if so, what was your experience like? We are just trying our best to find a reputable tour operator.

Thanks for your help!

Hi

We can whole heartedly recommend Downbelow Marine %26amp; Wildlife we mainly did diving/snorkelling with them at their dive centre on Gaya island however we also did a wildlife program, they have a good tour operation section in their dive shop which is located in the Likas complex in Kota Kinabalu, they are personal and professional and offer all the main attractions of Sabah (tailored or not).

You will find them registered on the Sabah tourism website and they are also a resisted Padi 5* dive centre also on the Padi website, they have an excellent website

Email responses were fast and informative.

Enjoy your trip

be safe and be smart

I think it depends on what you want to do and see, both the operators that you%26#39;ve contacted are fairly big, especially discovery, and it might not be the right operator if you want personalized services, but they are both ';reputable';.

We used Wildlife Expeditions, and they were fantastic, very honest (like about the Raffleisa not being in bloom), helpful and also cheaper than we found elsewhere.

Look them up on the internet, there are loads of different trips to choose from - I can%26#39;t recommend them enough

HI

I would also highly recommend Wildlife Expedition for tours and DownBelow diving for great Snorkelling tours. Excellent experiance and on time.
