Hi,
On our return flight from Hanoi on Air Asia (in May), we arrive at LCCT at 1:40pm, but do not fly out till 9:20pm that evening.
Seeing as there doesn%26#39;t look like there is much at all to look at or do in LCCT, we would like to do SOMEthing in this time to keep us busy.
I don%26#39;t want to travel into the city as we are already having a few days in KL on the way over, just wont be worth it....but thought we could possibly go over to KLIA and do some shopping.
Questions:
**What could we do with our luggage...leave it at LCCT?
**How would we get up to KLIA, and how much would it cost?
**What is on offer at KLIA without going through imigration?
Also, is there anything else of interest that we could possibly spend a few hours exploring without venturing too far away from the LCCT?
Thanks in advance!!
7 hour stopover @ LCCT - Could we go and shop at KLIA?
Hi, sadly to say; there isn%26#39;t much to do in KLIA except for a few restaurants and some overpriced goods/Chocolates.
There is a left luggage counter in LCCT; not sure where, maybe maic can help you with the directions.
You can get to KLIA with a bus or a cab. A bus costs less than RM 2 per way per person; a budget cab costs RM 20 or more.
KLIA ground side has got - a few restaurants, fast food, chocolate and alcohol shops, a few boutiques selling overpriced bags and souvenirs; cafes; a nice bookshop; convenience stores; a few bars and that%26#39;s about it.
I would suggest (if you like shopping): Head to the Gardens Midvalley and Midvalley Mega Mall. This is where I spend most of my time before heading to the airport when I stay at the Hilton KL Sentral. You can take a cab directly there or take the Skybus to KL Sentral then a train (one stop to Midvalley) or a cab (RM 5) to Midvalley. There are plenty of things to shop around there as well as many other facilities. Look here at their website:

Catching a cab or Skybus back to LCCT is pretty easy from KL Sentral.
Other than that, you might want to consider Putrajaya for a bit of sightseeing; but Midvalley is highly recommended! happy planning!
