Hi i am just wondering if anyone has flown with Airasia x in either economy or the xl seats from KL to Gold Cost Australia. If so what can i expect? Times Arrival and Departure, cabin conditions etc
Thank you
Air Asia XHi Sahdog,
There%26#39;s three or four very recent posts on this question. If you go back through the recent forum topics you%26#39;ll see them.
All in all most people are very positive. The worst complaint seems to be that the seats are a bit hard.

Air Asia XThere has been quite a lengthy discussion at this thread

A friend of mine has just done it very recently and was most impressed.(Many years ago she was an air hostess)Well she made me look at the website and yesterday I booked myself Gold Coast( I live on the gold coast)to K.L. return in November and I got one of their sale tickets. I cant believe the price! I have booked all the extras too, meal, checked in baggage and transfers. I always said I would never travel no frills internationally, now I have to eat my words!
Well done naej - I%26#39;m sure it will be fine! Caroline.
Hi,
Just back from our hols and with flying Air Asia X, economy.
While I was not expecting to experience the awful stories that are on the internet I was not on the other hand expecting for it to be so good as it was.
Check-in KL-GC just like any other airline...long line but we had enough time. We did pre book (pay) our seats because of our children but it was not so full so we had a lot of seats to ourselves but I would rather book seats and have this than finding out we cannot seat together. Plane left on time. Food was very good, a good choice as well. Very friendly airline staff. The only thing which was worth a minus point were the toilets, the staff did go twice to clean them but they were old and I think that the smell just could not be removed, also one seat was nearly broken.
From GC-KL we had a surprise that you could rent e-players which we did and shared on the flight :-) I think it cost $12.00. It is wise to look at the menu with what you can watch before renting.
Flight left on time, the nearly all man airline staff were very friendly. We had exits seats which was great, this flight was nearly full.
So we had no complaints at all :-) We know that you pay a basic price and all %26#39;extra%26#39;s%26#39; you pay for but our total price from getting from Amsterdam-Gold Coast was one of the lowest prices we found compared to flying with 1 airline to Australia.. and otherwise we would have to fly to Brisbane.
Hope this helps :-) and that I have not written any strange things..just got home at 5.30 this morning.
Well all these good reports are very encouraging.
Hi,
Used it last month Its ok and dead cheap. Of course without in flight entertainment things can get a little bored especially if you travel with 2 children Like us. Otherwise it is very very good value for money if u just wanna travel form point A to B.
roma, thanks for writing about your experience. I really hope the e-players are a standard thing to be able to hire on all flights as I find it so hard to read on long flights and watching movies is the best.
Hi,
I have no idea why the e-player was available KL-GC and not GC-KL. Hopefully it will soon be available for all flights. By the way you hand in your e-players I think about 40 minutes before the flight ends!! :-( Would have been beter if it was say 20 minutes.
Also discovered that the Comfort Kit you keep so no need to prebook and pay for the return journey... like we did, we have now 8 comfort kits! :-(
