Booking MAS wings KK_-Miri-Mulu

I am hoping someone can help clarify this for me!! We hope to go to Mulu for a few days from Kota Kinabalu.

IT seems that there is an afternoon connecting flight but I can%26#39;t book it as a through flight the way we would on long-haul flight - I have to book it as two separate flights on the MAS wings website. There is only a 20 minute turnaround time so I presume we stay on the plane and I presume they will check our luggage through?

I would be a lot happier if I could book it through but does anyone know if this is possible? I would have to book this and then find out that we had to get off plane, check in again as we wouldn%26#39;t have time.

I e-mailed MAS wings several days ago but no reply yet!

I am hoping someone out there has done this and can offer some advice!!

You would have 2 different planes - KK to Miri and then change to a Fokker twin for the flight to Mulu.

As you have to book the flights as single leg, you would need to get your bags and check in again for the mulu flight.

It is really confusing. On the MAS wings scheduled flight info they have the same flight number for Miri and Mulu suggesting it is the same flight and connects and they indicate that there is one afternoon flight every day like this. Both segments are listed as F50 i.e. Fokker 50 which suggests that it is the same plane?

Above are the flight details on the Mulu park webiste which again suggest that once a day there is a through flight connecting at Miri and advises you to give these to your travel agent.

Maybe I have to go through a travel agent for this? We want to stay in the park, not at the Royal Resort so I just wanted to book flights myself.

Not require to book through the agent.(wasting money)

The agent will collect commission and act as a postman.

The ';park';is already your ideal agent.

KK to miri then mulu .

At miri airport is on transit to mulu .not require to check in again,this should be clear enough.

Arrival at Mulu,just jump into any transport provided(royal mulu) and tell driver to drop off at the park.

All transport need to go mulu if there is any passenger(operate by same organisation)

Just bumping this in case anyone had the same problem we had to let you know that there was a technical fault which has now been fixed! It is possible to book the direct flight from KK to Mulu on both MAS wings and Malaysian Airways website again.
