Buying Electronics in UK, Dubai or KL?

Hi all,

Sorry to ask a question that%26#39;s probably been asked many times! :) But we are travelling to KL via Dubai and I was wondering whether it%26#39;s worth buying my wife a Nintendo DS before we go, in Dubai airport or whilst we%26#39;re shopping in KL?

Don%26#39;t want to spend ages trawling around but would like to get the best deal.

She%26#39;s only going to be playing puzzle style games so don%26#39;t think it%26#39;s really worth getting any chips or whatever.

Your opinions greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Paul

HI

To be perfectly honest, elecontics are cheaper in the UK at the moment.

So, look at the many on-line shops for the best deals in the UK. You will be pushed to find better.

This is mainly because the pound is very, very, very weak against the Malaysian Ringitt and that products are pretty much the same price around the world nowadays.

Another thing to bear in mind is that if you buy these things in Malaysia you will only get the International guarantee, which is worthless when you return to the UK.

If you are still keen to buy overseas, and in KL, there some great electronic shops in BB Plaza / Sungai Wang Plaza on Bukit Bintang. But do get some ideas of UK online prices for the products you want before you go so you can compare and not buy if it%26#39;s going to cost more to buy in Kuala Lumpur.

Chips for the DS can be bought very cheaply in Malayisa.

We%26#39;ll buy a DS before we leave.

Try the dixons shop at the airports,i think you can save around 20%,check on line and order in advance to pick up at airport when you arrive.
