Hi all,
We will be going to langkawi on 13th april for 3 nights. we have a 2 year old daughter and are looking for some place with good reasonably priced baby sitting facilities. we would also like to try local resturaunts and so preferebly some place which is closer to those.
would like some nice white sand beach and comfortable stay. budget would be around 100us$ -150us$ per night. pls help suggest some resort which suits us. there r too many available and I m just overwhelmed with all the info.
pls recomment some resorts.
the one i have in mind are (suggest which one would be best)
meritus pelangi
sheraton
lagoon
berjaya
westin(slight over budget but would consider it if its suit us very well)
many thanks!

13th april..3 nights, couple +2ykid, pls help with resort
Hi
For what you are looking for the Pelangi would be the best. There is a kids club there and the hotel is also within walking distance to lots of restaurants.
Whilst Berjaya is my personal favourite, the hotel is quite remote and transport is needed to get around.

Dear Bill,
I share Lesley%26#39;s opinion. Pelangi would be my first choice with young kids. Not only for the hotel%26#39;s facilities but for the location. The beach is right in front of your door and you have innumerable choices to go out. All other resorts that you have on the list have the downside that you need transport all the time and that adds to your bill.
If you opt for Pelangi, you can think about to book it without breakfast as you have good choices down the road.
Eva
thanks to all of you for the reply
Just one more thing, is the beach or location too crowded since u mentioned that its right next to local shops %26amp; resturaunts?
also can someone please rate the resorts below in terms of how upscale %26amp; comfortable these are. i know its difficult to do this but i am more specificallytalking baout the interior, the room, the surroundings%26#39; beauty and layout.
meritus pelangi

Hi Bill
If you have not already done so why not read the guest reviews of the hotels you mention. They are under the tab marked ';Langkawi Hotels'; over on the left of the page. There are also lots of photos of the interiors of rooms, location etc and this may help you to make up your mind.
It may be good to note that none of the beaches on Langkawi are ever crowded.
Lesley
